Learning to Draw Portraits

Each week students will learn about one of the key factors to drawing a highly detailed and accurate Portrait drawing using graphite pencils. Each class
will have an in depth demonstration and explanation of that weeks chosen factor, with time for one on one help towards the end.

Students will finish the 5-week course with with all the knowledge and techniques needed to continue drawing amazing portraits at home. The skills they learn will help them to expand on their artisitic ability whether it’s their hobby or future career as an artist.

Students are to bring: 
An a4 or a3 drawing pad and HB pencil, a reference portrait photo they would
like to draw. There will be sharpeners, erasers and blending sticks to share in class.

Starter packs containing electric eraser, black pencil,
blending stick, sharpener and 2 graphite pencils - $10

Public Announcement

All classes at Saltwater Art Studio have been cancelled and the Studio will not be reopening before Term 4.

Protecting the most vulnerable in our society has to be the prority at the moment and as our Studio is located inside a community centre, we feel it best to keep the Studio closed for now.

All existing bookings will be rescheduled and we are looking forward to continuing with our program in the near future.

We continue to be guided by Council and the State Government advice and will keep you updated as we receive more information.
